Kids Supergym Performs Well at State Championships

Athletes from Kids Supergym, located in Lakewood Ranch, recently did a super job at the AAU Florida State Championships held on April 26th, at the Lakeland Center in Lakeland, Florida. The event consisted of approximately 1,500 athletes from around the state and was comprised of four different categories including the vault, bars, beam, and floor. Kids Supergym had a total of six athletes that were named state champions in different categories, seven athletes that reached an elite score, and a total of thirteen athletes that had a score of greater than nine. In addition, Darinka Angelova, was named overall state champion in the women’s level 8 division. “To see these kids compete at this level and perform so well makes us all proud and most importantly it is really satisfying to see how much fun they are having,” stated Scott Bolingbroke, co-owner of Kids Supergym.

Overall State Champion (Women’s Level 8) – Darinka Angelova
State Champions Vault  - Darinka Angelova, Brooke Grassman, Celia Teigland, and Kimberly Comito.
State Champions Beam – Darinka Angelova, Celia Teigland.
State Champions Floor – Katie Holt, Makenzie Legg.
Reached Elite Score – Darinka Angelova, Lauren Flenniken, Brooke Grassman, Celia Teigland, Andie Tradler, Kimberly Comito, Jodi Grassman.
Score Greater than Nine – Darinka Angelova, Lauren Flenniken, Brooke Grassman, Celia Teigland, Nola Berish, Riley Bohan, Kimberly Comito, Natalie Fonseca, Jodi Grassman, Katie Holt, Makenzie Legg, Leah Sailer, Jenna Sypula.
